She is an NCTJ-trained reporter and an award-winning editor. She studied Middle Eastern Archaeology and Akkadian, although she has to admit her cuneiform is probably a little rusty these days. She was once an archaeologist working in Syria and Jordan, and has been an English language teacher. She has lived at one time or another in Jerusalem and Aleppo, as well as Paris and Brussels, where she went to school and learnt to speak French. She is an accredited CIPR practitioner.

Julian Pryke MCIPR
Founder and COO
Julian was born in the year man first walked on the moon. He co-founded Meantime in 2008 after over a decade of reporting on the supply chain and maritime industries, including being editor and publisher of magazines such as Lloyd’s Ship Manager, Lloyd’s Shipping Economist, and Cargo Systems. He holds the Post Graduate Certificate in Periodical Journalism and wrote for football weekly Shoot magazine as a cub reporter. He is passionate about all things fish and has hosted a number of masterclasses about the history of the UK Oyster industry. He is a Guinness World Record Holder for having gutted the most mackerel in an hour, a feat he achieved on 9th of April 2009 at London’s Pinewood Studios for the TV show Guinness World Records Smashed. His 362 fish in an hour record remains unchallenged.
