AIRFORWARDERS ASSOCIATION WELCOMES SUPREME COURT TARIFF RULING

Washington D.C., United States, Friday 20th February 2026: The Supreme Court’s decision should bring a degree of clarity for U.S. businesses that rely on international trade.

Our members have seen firsthand how tariff measures negatively impact shipping volumes, pricing, and supply chain planning, and greater stability in trade policy is critical for the movement of goods.

While this ruling may reduce some immediate cost pressures, uncertainty around future trade actions continues to complicate long-term planning for importers, exporters, and the logistics providers that support them.

We now need clarity on how any tariff refunds will be processed, including the timeline, administrative requirements, and eligibility criteria, to ensure businesses can plan with confidence and reduce unnecessary costs.

The Airforwarders Association will continue to work with policymakers to prioritise clear, consistent trade frameworks that support economic growth and strengthen supply chain resilience.

About the Airforwarders Association

The Airforwarders Association (AfA) represents hundreds of U.S companies dedicated to moving cargo through the supply chain on all modes of transport.

As an alliance of indirect air carriers, cargo airlines and related businesses operating across the global transportation community, we represent member companies dedicated to moving air cargo through the supply chain.

Our members include not only air forwarders, but truckers, airlines, warehouse operators and businesses delivering a range of supporting services including technology, training, compliance, insurance and legal, just to name a few industries.
