60 seconds with Hayley Maguire

“I love the international element and it means that each day is different.”

In our blog series ’60 seconds with…’ we get to know a little bit more about each of the team members each week. After all, in PR, it’s all about the personal touch.

This week we get to know more about Hayley Maguire our Account Manager.

  • Moving from journalism to PR, what was the big change for you?

The biggest change was writing as a copywriter and not a journalist, but I have discovered that I love copywriting, which is a great to skill to have.

  • If you had to choose between a holiday at the beach or on the mountains, which one would you pick?

Can I have both? It would probably depend on the time of the year. I love the beach and swimming in the ocean, but you can’t beat fresh mountain air and the great outdoors.

  • With the time you have spent in the logistics industry, what have you liked most about it?

The international element and the collaborative nature of moving the industry forward.

  • What is the one thing you wish somebody had told you about the PR industry?

That I would start reading the news and magazines from a PR perspective. Whenever I come across an interesting article I start thinking about whether it’s the result of good PR or good journalism.

  • Which cheese would you never put on your cheeseboard?

I love all different types of cheese, so I can’t answer that question.

  • What do you love most about Account Management?

The best thing about working as an Account Manager is being in regular contact with clients around the world. I love the international element and it means that each day is different.

If you would like to ask Hayley more questions about working in the PR industry feel free to leave a Comment and we will respond as soon as we can.
