ANTONOV AIRLINES SAFELY FLIES VITAL POWER PLANT COMPONENTS FROM SLOVENIA TO AFRICA FOR CHAPMAN FREEBORN GERMANY
Ukraine-owned Antonov Airlines is continuing operations
Kyiv, Ukraine, Monday 30th May 2022: Antonov Airlines working with Chapman Freeborn Germany has successfully completed three AN-124-100 flights to transport a new mobile gas power plant generator and associated equipment from Ljubljana, Slovenia, to Kano, Nigeria.
The delivered cargo, including generator, turbine and additional equipment, weighed about 200 tonnes. The project has been a year in the making.
“The entire Antonov team, from commercial to operational, route planning, and load planning, worked closely with our client and agents to ensure the safe delivery of this important cargo, which will support energy needs in Nigeria,” said Eugene Kiva, Commercial Executive, Antonov Airlines.
“Our professional flight crew and technical staff ensured the flights went smoothly and the cargo arrived safely and on time ready to serve its humanitarian needs.”
Ukraine-owned Antonov continues to fly worldwide, prioritising flights for the Ukrainian government, the Strategic Airlift International Solution (SALIS), and humanitarian missions.
Antonov Airlines, a world leader in heavy lift transportations, is also handling commercial flights using its fleet of five AN-124-100s.
“We continue to operate despite the challenges we have faced after the Russian invasion and the damage they caused to our Gostomel home base and some of our aircraft,” said Eugene Gavrylov, Acting Director General of ANTONOV Company.
“The services responsible for planning the transportation and maintenance of aircraft have been temporarily relocated to Leipzig, Germany.
“This allows us to ensure the further safe operation of Antonov fleet aircraft,” he emphasised.

Авіакомпанія «Авіалінії «АНТОНОВ» у співпарці з компанією «Чепмен Фріборн», Німеччина, успішно виконали три рейси літаком Ан-124-100 для доставки нового мобільного генератора газової електростанції та його обладнання обладнання з Лубляни, Словенія, до Кано, Нігерія.
Загальна маса доставленого вантажу, включаючи генератор, турбіну, обладнання, склала близько 200 тонн. Планування проєкту перевезення тривало майже рік.
«Вся команда «АНТОНОВ», комерційна та оперативна служби, служба планування маршрутів і планування навантаження, тісно співпрацювали з нашим клієнтом і агентами, щоб здійснити безпечну доставку цього важливого вантажу, який буде забезпечувати енергетичні потреби в Нігерії», – Євген Ківа, фахівець комерційного відділу АТП ДП «АНТОНОВ».
“Наші професійні льотний екіпаж і технічний персонал забезпечили безперебійне виконання рейсів, а вантаж, доставлений безпечно і вчасно, готовий до відповідного використання”.
Літаки повітряного флоту ДП “АНТОНОВ” продовжують виконувати рейси по всьому світу, надаючи пріоритет польотам на замовлення українського уряду, стратегічим авіаперевезенням за програмою НАТО SALIS та гуманітарним місіям.
Світовий лідер з авіаперевезень надважких та негабаритних вантажів також обслуговує комерційні рейси, використовуючи свій флот з п’яти літаків Ан-124-100.
“Ми продовжуємо працювати, незважаючи на виклики, з якими ми зіткнулися після російського вторгнення та пошкодження ворогом нашої льотної бази в Гостомелі та деяких наших літаків”, – сказав в.о. генерального директора ДП “АНТОНОВ” Євген Гаврилов.
“Служби, відповідальні за планування перевезень та обслуговування літаків, тимчасово переміщені до Лейпцигу, Німеччина. Це дозволяє нам забезпечити подальшу безпечну експлуатацію літаків флоту «АНОНОВ» “, – зазначив він.
