CHAPMAN FREEBORN WINS INTERNATIONAL CHARTER BROKER OF THE YEAR AWARD AS IT CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY
The STAT Times accolade recognises Chapman Freeborn as one of the industry’s most reliable air charterers, as it expands US presence with new Houston office
Johannesburg, South Africa, Thursday 23rd February 2023: Chapman Freeborn received the STAT Times International Air Cargo Charter Broker of the Year Award at the Air Cargo Africa 2023 event in Johannesburg, South Africa, yesterday (Wednesday 22nd February 2023).
The award recognises Chapman Freeborn’s 50 years of outstanding service and is a testament to its reputation as one of the most reliable air charterers in the industry.
“We strive to be the best at what we do and to provide our customers and suppliers with the highest quality service,” said Russi Batliwala, Chairman of The Board, Chapman Freeborn.
“It is a great honour to have all our hard work recognised with this award.”
The charter broker cites offering more than just an aircraft charter service as key to its success, with today’s customers and suppliers demanding real added value from the broker involvement.
To meet the growing needs of its customers, Chapman Freeborn is focussed on continually increasing its global footprint, most recently adding a new office in Houston, Texas, to expand its presence in the US market.
The Houston office will be headed up by David McCown, President – Americas, Chapman Freeborn, and will support clients in the oil, gas, air logistics, and other industries based in the area.
“One of Chapman Freeborn’s market differentiators is our personalised level of service,” said McCown.
“As we celebrate Chapman Freeborn’s 50th anniversary this year, the opening of our new regional office in Houston highlights our continued commitment to making it easy for our customers to get the specialised and personalised services they need.”
The move follows the charter broker’s growth in its private and cargo charter operations and Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) business segments in southern and central US, as well as Mexico and Latin America.
Over the past 50 years, Chapman Freeborn has focused on diversifying its regional offerings, serving its global customers with a variety of in-house aircraft managed and owned assets, as well as third party aircraft charter solutions.
