INDUSTRY NETWORKING APP TO BRING SUPPLY CHAIN DELEGATES TOGETHER AT MULTIMODAL 2022

Multimodal Awards sold out as record number of guests book seats for the benchmarking annual industry event

London, UK, Thursday 19th May 2022: Multimodal exhibition’s MultiApp, the business app free of charge to all registered exhibition visitors, is set to launch on Wednesday 25th May.

MultiApp is an electronic show guide providing registered delegates with a show programme, floor plan, and a full exhibitor index.

Furthermore, MultiApp can be used to arrange delegate meetings in advance of the show, send messages, and enable users to build their own personal schedule.

“One of the major benefits of the show is to create a platform for business relationships to be cemented, reforged or begun, and MultiApp is the perfect tool to support this,” said Robert Jervis, Director, Multimodal.

“Through MultiApp, registered delegates get full and free access to all Multimodal news and information, including visitor and exhibitor profiles which makes it a vital business tool for the exhibition.”

The three-day event, between 14th and 16th June at the Birmingham NEC, also hosts the Multimodal Awards and gala dinner on the first evening.

The UK’s transport and logistics industry benchmarking event has sold out, with 850 guests having already booked their seats.

This year the Multimodal seminar programme examines supply chain sustainability and resilience with viewpoints from stakeholders across all modes.

Topics range from an examination of the 2022 global container shipping market and the likely trading conditions during peak season, to analysis of the role of technology with regard to supply chain resilience, and sustainability.

Multimodal, now in its 15th year, will also be working with Logistics UK, Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT), the British International Freight Association (BIFA), the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), and the Rail Freight Group (RFG) to develop further seminar tracks.

“We anticipate 9000 supply chain decision makers will visit the show this year, to network, learn and grow business with exhibitors from across the logistics industry,” said Jervis.

Exhibitors include Maersk, Malcolm Group, Maritime Transport, MSC, G&W, DP World, Kuehne + Nagel, O.N.E., Kerry Logistics, and ABP.

About Multimodal

Multimodal 2023 will celebrate sixteen years of putting shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, and exporters in front of exhibitors who offer the latest logistics and supply chain solutions.

The three-day show between 13th to 15th June 2023 will offer a unique opportunity to make valuable face-to-face contact with new prospects and existing companies.

Shippers and cargo owners attend to improve their businesses; by finding ways of moving their products more efficiently and by meeting new suppliers.

Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, and is characterised by key vertical sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, electronics, FMCG, food & drink, fashion, pharmaceuticals, construction, aerospace, energy, real estate, recycling, paper/print and perishables, amongst others, whilst horizontally, the show covers all modes of transportation, including sea, road, rail, air, and inland waterways.

This matrix design makes Multimodal incredibly valuable and accessible for shippers – whilst also affording them the opportunity to successfully meet and network with peers from other sectors, which is another key reason for their attendance.
