KALE SHOWCASES CARGO COMMUNITY SYSTEM AT THE LAUNCH OF THE NATIONAL LOGISTICS POLICY OF INDIA

Kale sets the standard as Indian Prime minister launches new agenda set to catapult national logistics performance into the next decade

Mumbai, India, Monday 26th September 2022: Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale) was one of 15 shortlisted private companies chosen to take a key role at the launch of the National Logistics Policy (NLP) of India in New Delhi, on 17th September 2022.

Officially opened by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the NLP aims to halve India’s logistics costs and place it in the top 10 Logistics Performance Index (LPI) by 2030, amongst other inititaives.

“It is a proud moment for the country as the Government of India is executing a much-needed reform for the logistics industry,” said Vineet Malhotra, Co-Founder and Director of Kale Logistics Solutions.

“The policy consists of reforms that could have a positive impact on the industry. Moreover, the focus on digitalization is commendable as the world of logistics is gradually turning digital and in the coming years, digitization will be the new normal.

“As a logistics IT solutions provider, Kale is committed to the action plan set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion.”

Kale signed up GMR Cargo Hyderabad International Airport in India as its one hundredth airport cargo station this year.

With this partnership, around 85% of India’s air cargo traffic is now running on Kale’s systems.

Kale also recently opened a new software development centre in Kolhapur, India, as part of its broader initiative to attract and nurture tech talent outside of metropolitan cities in India.

Vineet Malhotra will be relating Kale’s latest developments at the IATA World Cargo Symposium this week, from 27th to 29th September, at Kale’s booth #B03-1.

Our Vision

The objective of SESAR is to modernise European ATM by defining, developing and delivering new or improved technologies and procedures (SESAR Solutions).

SESAR’s vision builds on the notion of trajectory-based operations’ and relies on the provision of air navigation services (ANS) in support of the execution of the business or mission trajectory — meaning that aircraft can fly their preferred trajectories without being constrained by airspace configurations.

SESAR Deployment Manager

The SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) function is defined by the Article 9 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) N°409/2013. Under the oversight of the European Commission, the SDM function consists of the synchronisation and the coordination of the deployment of the Common Projects. A Common Project is a Commission Implementing Regulation which mandates the implementation of the most essential operational changes in the European ATM Master Plan by the Member States of the European Union and their operational stakeholders. The first Common Project is known as the Pilot Common Project (PCP) and is defined by the Regulation (EU) N°716/2014. The SDM synchronises and coordinates implementation against the SESAR Deployment Programme which is a project view of the Common Projects organizing their implementation into optimum sequences of activities by all the stakeholders required to implement. To develop and maintain the SESAR Deployment Programme in close consultation with all the stakeholders is another important task under the SDM function.
