FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR MULTIMODAL AWARDS AS ONLINE VOTING OPENS

Industry innovators from across the modes will be celebrated at the Awards on the evening of 19th October, the first day of the free-to-attend Multimodal event

London, UK, Tuesday 17th August 2021: Online voting has opened for the Multimodal 2021 Awards, which celebrate industry innovators in eight categories.

Finalists include freight leaders from across the modes, as well as ports, pallet networks, and technology companies.

The Awards recognise excellence in air, road, rail, maritime, and freight forwarding services and are voted for online by the thousands of readers of the Multimodal Newsletter and exhibitors and visitors to Multimodal.

“After the difficult months we have faced, it is time to celebrate innovation and success,” said Robert Jervis, Multimodal Director.

“Multimodal provides the perfect platform to bring together decision makers from across the industry to do just that with companies nominated and voted for by the industry, for the industry, through an independent nomination and voting system.

“The finalists represent a range of industry innovators who deserve recognition.”

The Multimodal Awards voted-for categories include 3PL of the Year, Air Freight, Rail Freight, Road Freight, and Sea Freight Operator of the year, Pallet Network of the Year, Port Operator of the Year, and Technology Company of the Year.

Votes can be made online at multimodal.org.uk/awards

Nominations for three judged awards, Shipper of the Year, Sustainability, and Young Logistics Professional will remain open until September 3rd.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the VOX NEC on the evening of October 19th 2021, hosted by football legend Kevin Keegan on the first day of the free-to-attend Multimodal show.

The three-day event includes an exhibition and three days of seminars and workshops, this year with a focus on sustainable logistics.

Thought leaders will be sharing insight and knowledge on topics from the state of logistics in a post Brexit and COVID world, to tech innovations and how to build a diverse Next Gen workforce.

Multimodal brings together hundreds of decision makers from across the supply chain to find ways to drive efficiencies and build smooth supply chains.

About Multimodal

Multimodal 2021 will celebrate fourteen years of putting shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, and exporters in front of exhibitors who offer the latest logistics and supply chain solutions.

The three-day show between 19th and 21st October 2021 will offer a unique opportunity to make valuable face-to-face contact with new prospects and existing companies.

Shippers and cargo owners attend to improve their businesses; by finding ways of moving their products more efficiently and by meeting new suppliers.

Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, and is characterised by key vertical sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, electronics, FMCG, food & drink, fashion, pharmaceuticals, construction, aerospace, energy, real estate, recycling, paper/print and perishables, amongst others, whilst horizontally, the show covers all modes of transportation, including sea, road, rail, air, and inland waterways.

This matrix design makes Multimodal incredibly valuable and accessible for shippers – whilst also affording them the opportunity to successfully meet and network with peers from other sectors, which is another key reason for their attendance.

Multimodal delivers a bespoke series of seminars targeted at helping supply chains run more efficiently, as well as offering two networking events, the Multimodal Awards, and the Multimodal Mixer.

This attendance next year will be bolstered by brand new initiatives, including Match-making service to connect shippers – our VIP visitors – to each other and to exhibitors, and dedicated Freight Forwarders’ Village with logpods.
