TRANSFOLLOW AND ALPEGA JOIN FORCES TO SUPPORT EUROPE’S SHIFT TO DIGITAL FREIGHT DOCUMENTATION

TransFollow’s digital documentation capabilities will integrate with Alpega’s platform to simplify compliance and reduce administrative complexity for shippers and carriers

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tuesday 26th May 2026: A leader in digital freight documentation, TransFollow, and transportation management system (TMS) provider, Alpega, have announced a partnership to support the wider adoption of electronic freight documentation across Europe.

The partnership will see TransFollow’s electronic consignment note (eCMR) capabilities integrated with Alpega’s platform, helping customers simplify documentation workflows and prepare for evolving European regulatory requirements around digital transport data.

“Many transport companies still manage critical freight information across disconnected systems, manual processes, and country-specific requirements,” said Moritz Rössler, Manager Sales International, TransFollow.

“By combining TransFollow’s expertise in secure digital freight data exchange with Alpega’s TMS, customers gain a far more practical route to modernising day-to-day operations without adding complexity for drivers, carriers, or back-office teams.

“This collaboration will help the industry move closer to fully connected cross-border transport, where information can be shared faster, more accurately and with far less administrative burden.”

The partnership comes as momentum around eCMR adoption continues to accelerate across Europe ahead of key milestones under the European Union’s Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation, which requires Member States and authorities to support the exchange of electronic freight transport information.

“TransFollow stood out on three fronts: the solution fits perfectly into our platform, the commercial model works for our customers, and the cultural fit is genuine,” said Michael Böckle, Senior Vice President Sales Strategy, Alliances & Presales, Alpega.

“That combination is harder to find than it sounds. We get a clean technical integration and a commercially compelling proposition, backed by a partner that shares our thinking on collaboration, customer service and digital innovation.

“The timing matters, too. With digital freight documents becoming mandatory across more European markets, this partnership gives customers a clear path to compliance — while reducing administrative complexity and improving day-to-day operations.”

The announcement coincides with TransFollow’s tenth anniversary year and reflects the growing industry focus on harmonising freight documentation processes to support more efficient, compliant and connected cross-border transport operations across Europe.
