Since 1991, the Industry Awards have celebrated the achievements of AfA member organizations and honored their contributions to the international forwarding community.

Winners are selected by AfA members based on outstanding achievement in service quality, performance, and overall value.

The AfA honored this year’s winners during the annual AirCargo Conference, which welcomed more than 900 delegates when it took place from February 11-13 at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

The 2024 winners include:

  • Preferred Industry Vendor: Veroot
  • Domestic Airline of the Year: Southwest Cargo
  • International Airline of the Year: Lufthansa Cargo
  • Surface Vendor of the Year: Forward

During the event, the Association also presented its prestigious Jim Foster Memorial Award to Vaughn Moore, Chairman and CEO of AIT Worldwide Logistics.

The Award, named after the founder of the AfA, honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry, organization, and membership.

Vaughn, who has over three decades of experience in the logistics industry, became an owner of AIT in 2012 after leading his team of Executive Vice Presidents in a successful leveraged buyout of the company.

His diverse background includes extensive sales, public speaking, recruitment, and management experience.

Brandon Fried, Executive Director, AfA, said: “We could not think of a more deserving person than Vaughn for this year’s Jim Foster Memorial Award, as he clearly embodies the commitment and spirit in our mission to move the industry ahead for logistics professionals.

“We are pleased to celebrate the enthusiasm, wisdom, and unflagging support Vaughn has brought to the AfA community with this Award.”
